Let’s answer your QUESTIONS

At The Rehab Osteo,

I help people achieve a deeper understanding of their physical health and empower them to take control of their well-being. I believe that pain and movement limitations shouldn’t dictate how you experience the world.

Do you have parking?

Yes, there is onsite parking available for the duration of your visit. You can park on the forecourt of the building. If this area is occupied, please drive through the building underpass to the back of the building where more parking bays are available.

Are you near any stations?

Yes, we are conveniently located near two main stations:

  • South Ealing Station: An 8-minute walk away (Piccadilly line).
  • Ealing Broadway Station: A 15-minute walk away (Central line, District line, and the Elizabeth line).

Additionally, the 65 bus route serves both South Ealing and Ealing Broadway stations, providing another transport option to reach our clinic.

Is it safe?

Yes, osteopathy is a safe and gentle approach to healthcare. It works in harmony with your body’s natural healing abilities. As a registered health profession, osteopathy adheres to strict safety standards, similar to those you’d expect from a doctor or dentist. You can feel confident in the care you receive at The Rehab Osteo.

How much does it cost?
  • Initial Consultation & Treatment: £120 (in-person or online)
  • Follow-up Appointments: £75
  • Extended Sessions: £120 (for multiple treatment areas, or when multiple modalities are required)

We’ll discuss a personalised treatment plan and any associated costs during your initial consultation, ensuring transparency and clarity.

What happens on my first visit?

At your first visit, I want you to feel heard and understood. We’ll start with a relaxed conversation about your health history and what’s bringing you in. I’ll then conduct a thorough physical assessment, explaining my findings along the way. This assessment may include special tests, such as neurological assessments, to check the health and function of your nerves. My goal is to work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your individual needs and lifestyle. We’ll typically begin treatment during this first session, so you can start experiencing some relief.

What does treatment feel like?

It’s difficult to describe exactly what osteopathic treatment feels like because it’s different for everyone. Some techniques are very gentle, and you may feel very little. While other osteopathic techniques might involve brief moments of discomfort, the overall goal is to reduce your pain and improve your long-term well-being. Think of it like stretching a tight muscle – it might feel a little uncomfortable at the time, but it leads to increased flexibility and reduced pain in the long run. I will always work within your tolerance and prioritise your comfort.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

You do not need a referral from your GP to make an appointment with us. Osteopathy is a primary healthcare profession, which means you can access our services directly without a referral.

Can I claim on my private medical insurance?

While we are not directly registered with any specific insurance providers, many private health insurance plans cover osteopathic treatment. We recommend that you contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your coverage and any specific requirements for claiming.

How many treatments will I need?

It’s great that you’re thinking ahead about your treatment plan! However, it’s difficult to give an exact number of sessions without a proper assessment. Here’s why:

  • Everybody is different: Your age, health, the severity of your condition, and how long you’ve had it all play a role.
  • Treatment is a process: We’ll see how your body responds to the initial sessions and adjust the plan as needed.
  • Shockwave has its own protocol: Shockwave therapy often requires a minimum of 4-8 sessions to be effective.
